Camille grew up in Augathella, rural Queensland, before relocating to the Gold Coast with her family. During her schooling there she completed her grade 8 Trinity Guildhall London exam with a distinction and was awarded the Jessica Bird memorial prize for excellence in drama. In 2015 Camille played Sinead in the Gold Coast Little Theatre’s production of ‘Social Climbers’ (directed by Helen Maden) and began studying a bachelor of Drama and Screen Writing at the Queensland University of Technology. She was also cast as Andromache in an adaptation of THE TROJAN WOMEN (directed by Kylie Skelton), and M’Lynn in STEEL MAGNOLIAS (directed by Jerome Winter). Additionally, Camille participated in courses led by Tom McSweeney and Phil Holder at the Warehouse Workshop on the Gold Coast. Since being accepted into ACA and making the move to Sydney, Camille has relished the opportunities to play a range of dynamic characters. Some of these include Masha in THREE SISTERS (directed by Adam Cook), Phoebe in AS YOU LIKE IT (directed by Jennifer West), Beatrice in A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE (directed Gale Edwards), POOL, NO WATER (directed by Maeliosa Stafford) and May in FOOL FOR LOVE (directed by Samuel Allen), as well as devised, verbatim, and movement pieces. Camille is most fascinated by the psychology of the characters she inhabits and their complexities, with the belief that the greatest thing you can hope for as an actor is to tell stories that may take up residency in another’s soul.
