2013 Graduate

Giselle Da Silva

Born in South Africa, to Portuguese parents, Giselle relocated to Australia at an early age. She graduated from QUT with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television before successfully auditioning for ACA. Her graduate film Cot won her the Best Young Filmmaker Award at the 21st Warner Roadshow Studios New Filmmaker Awards. She is also a skilled dancer in flamenco, jazz and ballet.

Giselle has an independence of mind that will see her collaborating with writers and directors that seek to inspire and strengthen the Australian arts. She is immensely grateful to her directors and teachers: George Ogilvie, Rodney Fisher, Sam Chester, Dean Carey, Philip Quast, Jospeh Uchitel, Jennifer West, Andrew Lloyde, Anthony Skuse, Linda Nicholls-Gidley, Sam Haft and Simon Hunt.
