2015 Graduate

Jayde Porep

Jayde began her pursuit of acting when she attended The McDonald College of Performing Arts, majoring in dramatic art. During her later years of high school, she auditioned for the Australian Institute of Performing Arts Acting Company, which she participated in intensively and eventually was asked to do the Professional Actors Workshops for 6 weeks at a time in LA. In the US, she worked at The Actors Space and UCLA’s acting program with casting directors such as Joseph Middleton, Bonnie Gillespie, Matthew Barry and Gary Zuckerbrod hosting the master classes. Upon finishing her HSC, Jayde was accepted into New York’s Atlantic Theater Company’s full time conservatory program where she studied Practical Aesthetics and Meisner based technique.

Completing the course at only 20 years of age, Jayde felt she needed more training here in Australia which lead her to apply for a position at ACA. She is now excited to work in film and television both here and back in the US, upon graduating and entering the industry.
