2016 Graduate

Margarita Gershkovich

Margarita discovered her passion for performance and the arts from a very young age. After graduating school she studied a Bachelor of Design at the College of Fine Arts and later worked as a graphic designer by day and performed with amateur theatre companies by night including a production of Dying for it at the New Theatre as well as appearing in various short films. She then decided to dedicate all her time in pursuit of her true passion; acting, joining the full-time course in 2014. As an avid traveller and painter, Margarita sees the need to share the unique stories of a culturally diverse range of people.

Highlights of her time at ACA included the devised performance Cartography directed by Samantha Chester and Anthony Skuse, working under the direction of George Ogilvie in Government Inspector, playing Hermione in The Winter’s Tale directed by Adam Cook, the verbatim project Mind the Gap directed by Dean Carey and most recently working with Gale Edwards on What Happened to the Dream?

Margarita is looking forward to becoming an active member of the industry in theatre, film and TV as well as pursuing her love of teaching performance to adults and children.
