2016 Graduate

Shaun McEachern

Born in North Queensland and growing up in Newcastle, Shaun discovered his passion for acting in Year 5 when he wrote and performed in a play as part of the Tournament of the Minds competition. Although he continued to participate in many performances throughout his high school years, it was only during his final year of a Politics degree at Newcastle University, after appearing in a number of short films for student directors that he seriously considered acting as a profession and auditioned for ACA. During his time there, his highlights included his 2nd year Russians performance in The Government Inspector, and his 3rd year Americans performance in What Happened to the Dream  directed by Gale Edwards. Upon graduating, Shaun intends to write and produce both short films and plays in collaboration with his peers, and is looking forward to becoming an active member of the industry.
