Caspar Hardaker

Caspar is an actor born and bred in Sydney’s Bankstown and the Inner West. From a young age he was trained in orchestral and Jazz Saxophone (alto and tenor). He was also a rapper/singer for hip-hop group Flip the Script between 2013-2016 with songs on Spotify, Bandcamp and YouTube. Caspar also studied for three years at UNSW and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Performance Making and Creative Writing in 2015. He has acted in film projects including Girt by Fear, (NYC WEBFEST, dir. by Yiani Andrikidis) and LISA IRL, (Sydney Film Festival, dir. by Darya Karbovska). Caspar was part of the cast of The Dignity of Risk (dir. by Natalie Rose, Harness Shopfront/ATYP Co-production), which earned a Sydney Theatre Award in 2017 for Best Production for Young People.

During Caspar’s time at ACA he has savoured the opportunities to play a diverse range of characters including Lieutenant Ralph Clark in Our Country’s Good (dir. by Adam Cook), Talthybius in The Oresteia (dir. by Gale Edwards), Teach in American Buffalo, (dir. Troy Harrison), Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night (dir. Adam Cook), Sir Sampson Legend in Love for Love, (dir. Anthony Skuse), Jack Worthing in The Importance of Being Ernest (dir. Maeliosa Stafford) and Treat in Orphans (dir. By Anthony Gooley). Caspar is also a voracious writer for stage and screen. He has written a short film titled A Walk to the Pub and completed three plays, Europa, Flying Fox, and Wolf. Caspar is extremely excited to show these works when he has graduated.
