Kane Spence

Growing up in Adelaide, SA, Kane found himself enjoying his hobby of acting more than he was enjoying the work he was doing. In Adelaide he worked on various projects with independent film and theatre makers and was fortunate enough to be a part of an original fringe show Tinder Surprise which received widespread praise. So unsurprisingly in 2015 Kane made the move to Sydney where he was determined to make acting his full time job.

Kane studied for a year at NIDA’s Open program where he got the opportunity to perform in Caryl Churchill’s Love and Information (dir. Shane Anthony). In 2017 Kane was accepted into ACA’s full time program and has enjoyed playing characters such as Ernst in Spring Awakening (dir. Sarah Carradine), Talthibius in The Trojan Women (dir. Adam Cook) Costard in Love’s Labour’s Lost (dir. Jennifer West), Rodney in That Pretty Pretty or the Rape Play (dir. Troy Harrison), Ben in Love for Love (dir. Anthony Skuse) as well as many other projects including self-devised, devised group work, scene work, singing, dancing and different forms of complex poetry.
