2025 Graduate

Ella Wilson

Born and raised on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, Ella first discovered her love for performing through singing lessons, after a family friend convinced her parents that her living room concerts showed real promise. Music opened the door to the dramatic arts, and as a child she appeared in local musicals before cultivating her passion further in high school, where she honed her skills in theatre. In 2022 she completed the NIDA Actors Studio course, and in 2023 moved to Sydney to begin her formal actor training at Actors Centre Australia.

Ella brings 15 years of live performance experience as a singer, having appeared at festivals, competitions, and community events across The Peninsula. This background informs her stagecraft, giving her a strong sense of presence and musicality. Ella is known for her emotional transparency, quiet strength, and intuitive ability to uncover the nuance in complex female characters.

During her time at ACA, Ella has performed as Ophelia in Hamlet, Thea Elvsted in Hedda Gabler, Julia Gibbs in Our Town, Sue Bayliss in All My Sons, Meg Bacon in Secret Bridesmaids’ Business, Chorus in States of Decay and Sybil in Private Lives (in collaboration with NIDA).

As she enters the industry, Ella is drawn to projects for both screen and stage that delve into psychological depth, female-driven narratives, and musically integrated storytelling. Equally comfortable leading or supporting, she thrives in environments where precision, heart, and boldness are equally valued.
