2014 Graduate

Edward Mckenna

Growing up in North Western Sydney, Edward’s interest in the arts began at a young age and what was once a passion soon became his choice of career. Edward began his training at Sydney theatre school and worked with such directors as Cristabell Sved, Michael Piggot and Malcolm Frawley, performing in plays such as Shakespeare’s “The tempest” and “The miracle” by Lin Coghlan. After receiving his Diploma, Edward proceeded to partake in independent theatre productions such as “table for one?” by Clair Haywood, short films like “The Gathering” Directed by Alexander Little, and the occasional commercial print advertisement.

In 2012 Edward secured a spot at the Actors Centre Australia. His highlights include Ivanov in Anton Chekov’s “Ivanov” Directed by Joseph Utchitel, Lysander, in “A Midsummer night’s dream” Directed by Jennifer West, and Ogun in the “The Brothers Size” Directed by Adam Cook. He values his time spent at the Actors Centre, and hopes his love for acting and the arts brings him to exciting places.
