Born and raised in regional Victoria, Amy James had plenty of room with her imagination, discovering the joys of story telling and a deep passion for the acting craft from a very young age. Upon completion of high school, Amy went on to study at the prestigious 16th Street studio in Melbourne, specialising in the work of Uta Hagen and Ivana Chubbuck. Amy relocated to Sydney upon being accepted into the Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts at Actors Centre Australia where she performed in multiple incredibly noteworthy productions including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Three Sisters, Fool for Love, A Streetcar Named Desire and The Glass Menagerie. Amy works relentlessly to deliver true and honest performances that show empathy for those that are often forgotten or misunderstood.
