Annabelle Kablean

Around the age of four, Annabelle announced her intention to become an actor and a singer, having already chosen her stage name (which shall remain a family secret).

Summer holidays were spent at ATYP, and school terms at Newtown High School of the Performing Arts. After graduation, taking advantage of her dual Australian/British citizenship, she moved to the UK, performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and in London.

Her roles at ACA include; Arkadina – The Seagull (dir. Camilla Ah Kin), Queen Margaret – Richard III (dir. Adam Cook), Nola Boyle – Season at Sarsparilla (dir. Adam Cook), Carol – ROAD (dir. John O’Hare), Boniface – The Beaux’ Stratagem (dir. Claudia Barrie), Malkin – Kill Climate Deniers (dir. Amelia Burke), Victoria – The Motherf*cker with the Hat (dir. Troy Harrison) and Vanda – Venus in Fur (dir. Troy Harrison).

Annabelle is involved in all aspects of performance, including writing and creating. She has devised immersive installation works with NFP arts and music collective, YMO Projects and in 2020, she directed a production of Savages by Patricia Cornelius at ACA.

In short, Annabelle has always loved playing pretend and is now very much looking forward to doing it as a career
