Luisa Galloway

Luisa lives for laughter, storytelling, feelings and experiences. Luisa was born and raised in Sydney on Gadigal and Bidjigal Country. Her family is wonderfully vibrant and she has always been very grateful to be surrounded by her Italian, Egyptian, and English culture. She is an actor, occasional standup comedian and proudly runs a Theatre Company with Amy Sole called Puddle or Pond. Prior to her studies at ACA, Luisa completed an Advanced Diploma of Acting at AFTT (2018) where at 19 she got to play King Lear. 

During her time at ACA she has delighted in the roles of Girlie Pogson in The Season at Sarsaparilla (dir. Jonathan Mill), Brenda/Helen in Road (dir. John O’Hare), appeared in the Somewhere Between Voice and Movement Project (dir. Jennifer West and Julia Cotton), devised and appeared in Who Could Ask For Anything More (dir. Anthony Skuse and Julia Cotton), Varya/Charlotta in The Cherry Orchard (dir. Adam Cook), Peter Quince/Moth in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, (dir. Jonathan Mill), directed and appeared in REVOLT. SHE SAID. REVOLT AGAIN, Bekken/Jalan/Cellabrina in KILL CLIMATE DENIERS (dir. Amelia Burke), Barbara in August: Osage County (dir. Troy Harrison), Lady Bountiful/Sir Charles Freeman in The Beaux Stratagem (dir. Claudia Barrie). 

Luisa is eager to be connected to the industry in all aspects. She is inspired by the community of change-makers and she can’t wait to create her own work and to chase opportunities.
