Matthew grew up in Townsville, North Queensland, where he trained throughout his schooling years at the Zi Pu Yong Dong Martial Arts Academy. There, he learnt several styles of Kung Fu which included Monkey and Crane. Prior to arriving at ACA, Matthew worked as a software engineer while developing his acting craft at North Shore Drama, NIDA and The Hub Studio. His deep passion for classical acting has led him to full-time training.
Matthew holds degrees in Engineering and Computer Science, and maintains interests in martial arts, game design, and astronomy.
