2023 Graduate

BREA MACEY

Brea spent her childhood in the bush as Shakespeare’s Queen of Faeries. Growing up in Nowra, she graduated from the School of Hard Knocks with a unique perspective that comes with a strong determination and drive for life. With an insatiable passion for singing, she found the amateur musical theatre scene in Canberra, performing in shows such as Chicago, Strictly Ballroom, Fame, The Wizard of Oz, Spring Awakening and landed her debut lead role at 17 of Gabriella in High School Musical.

At ACA, Brea played the title role in Antigone, Marial in The Great, Ejlert in Hedda Gabler, Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night, Nikki in Wherever She Wanders, various roles including Aaron McKinney, Marge Murray and Trish Steger in The Laramie Project. She also directed a passion project of hers, The Boys by Gordon Graham earlier this year.

Brea’s creative talents span across writing, directing, acting, singing and dancing.  Already the recipient of several professional offers post-graduation, she’s most excited to kick start the New Year with Jonathan Mill’s production of Get Down and Dirty, a new cabaret musical about Noel Coward and Gertrude Lawrence.
