May 2022 Graduate

Keira Dixon

Keira was born and raised in Sydney, and her love of performance was cemented at a young age. During the fifth grade, she found herself thrust on stage during the opening night of Low Cholesterol Grease to sight-read the part of Rizzo, after the original cast member came down with laryngitis. Thanks to this primary school dropout, Keira was exposed to the vibrant world that is performance.

She went on to pursue her passion of singing and theatre throughout high school. This involved completing her Grade 8 AMEB Singing Certificate, as well as playing Wednesday Addams in a school production of The Addams Family Musical.

Prior to ACA, Keira completed a Diploma of Musical Theatre at Brent Street in 2018. During this time, she was involved in productions of Oklahoma! (dir. Lisa Callingham) and Spring Awakening (dir. Mark Hill).

At Actors Centre Keira has had the pleasure of taking on the following roles: Jenny in Don’s Party (dir. Jonathan Mill), Dympie in After Dinner (dir. Johann Walraven), Natasha in Three Sisters (dir. Sam Trotman), Celia in As You Like It (dir. Damien Ryan), the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet (dir. Craig Baldwin), Right Eye in The Invisible Man (dir. Rikiah Lizarraga), Messenger in The Iphigenia Quartet (dir. Claudia Barrie), Billie in Women of Manhattan (dir. Kim Hardwick) and Mother Miriam in Agnes of God (dir. Kim Hardwick).
