May 2022 Graduate

Meredith Cohn

Meredith was born and raised in Sydney, and realised her passion for the arts through many elderly, male castings in primary school drama productions. She continued to pursue her appetite for performance from an early age, and is now a singer, writer, and actor. She has a background in film, theatre, and musical theatre, and enjoys texts that are challenging, both to perform and to consume. Meredith is a mezzo-soprano and an accomplished martial artist. After immersing herself in the Sydney independent film and musical theatre scenes, Meredith began her studies at Actors Centre Australia. She loves both comedy and drama and, after graduation, is keen to focus her energies on diverse narratives.

Meredith’s roles before beginning at ACA include Poole/Ensemble in Jekyll and Hyde (Notable Theatre Company), Sex Worker – Kings CrossFit (dir. Megan Broberg), Girlfriend – The Art of Devotion (dir. Matthew Perez), Lead – Here (dir. Angus Forbes). Her roles at ACA include Ishtar Madigan in Banging Denmark (dir. Johann Walraven), Liz Morden in Our Country’s Good (dir. Troy Harrison), Masha in Three Sisters (dir. Sam Trotman), Viola in Twelfth Night (dir. Damien Ryan), Brack in Hedda Gabler (dir. Eve Beck), Rosencrantz/Hamlet in Hamlet (dir.
