2025 Graduate

Hannah King

Born and raised in Newcastle, Hannah’s love affair with the stage began at a young age. Whether it was musical theatre, plays, or ballet, the theatre quickly became her favourite place to be, her first love. In her hometown she immersed herself in the local theatre community, performing roles such as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Lorraine in Jersey Boys, and Regina in Ghosts. Alongside acting, Hannah has a natural gift for singing, which has enriched her work on stage and continues to be a joyful extension of her artistry.

Hannah carried this passion for performance into her career as a primary school teacher, where the classroom often became a one woman show. After several years of teaching, she decided to dedicate herself fully to the craft that had always called to her, theatre.

Her training at Actors Centre Australia has been both surprising and affirming. She has thrived in ensemble work, relishing collaboration and devised performance, and discovered a newfound admiration for Shakespeare while playing Hamlet in Hamlet. Other notable credits at ACA include Masha in The Seagull, Sofia in States of Decay, Mary in Saved, various roles in Angels in America: Millennium Approaches, and Emma in Summer of the Seventeenth Doll. Alongside her stage work, Hannah’s passion has expanded into screen acting, a medium previously unexplored but now embraced for its capacity to reveal truth and vulnerability, two principles that sit at the heart of her artistry.

Hannah brings passion, positivity, and a zest for life into every rehearsal room. With deep reverence for her craft, she holds immense pride and gratitude for the privilege of sharing her love of performance with audiences.

Hannah will be joining Bell Shakespeare’s learning ensemble, The Players in 2026.
