Growing up in regional NSW, Libby brings a grounded perspective and rich life experience to both the stage and screen. Her passion for music and the arts was nurtured from a young age, studying violin, piano, singing and percussion. She performed with stage bands, ensembles and in amateur musicals, with a highlight being her lead role as The Witch in a Dubbo high school production of Into the Woods.
Alongside a career as a Registered Nurse in Critical Care spanning more than seven years, Libby continued to grow her commitment to theatre. She appeared as Edith in Newcastle Theatre Company’s 2019 production of Blithe Spirit, and completed a Musical Theatre Intensive course through Hunter Drama Newcastle, before going on to complete their Musical Theatre Pre-Diploma course in 2021.
After working on the frontline in Emergency and Critical Care during the global pandemic, Libby felt called to pursue her lifelong ambition of a career in the Performing Arts. In 2022, she moved to Sydney to complete ACA’s Foundation Program while continuing to work as an Emergency Nurse. She also gained on-set screen experience through PG’s Agency, including her first television credit in the Paramount+ drama Last King of the Cross (2022). Today, Libby’s background in Nursing continues to enrich her artistic practice, sharpening her empathy and emotional truth in performance.
Whilst completing her Bachelor of Performing Arts (Stage and Screen) at ACA, Libby has enjoyed exploring a diverse range of complex characters. Her credits include Pope Joan and Louise in Top Girls (dir. Adam Cook), Michelle (Michael) in A Lie of the Mind (dir. Johann Walraven), Ishtar in Banging Denmark (NIDAxACA), Banquo in Macbeth (dir. Troy Harrison), Gabriella in Ivanov (dir. Sandie Eldridge), Aunt Julia in Hedda Gabler (dir. Adam Cook), and Olive in Summer of the Seventeenth Doll (dir. Cristabel Sved). In 2024, Libby made her directorial debut, co-directing Lost in Translation, an ACA Writers Group production. She continued to extend her creative skillset in 2025, adapting and directing an original piece for her cohort’s Self-Generated Project, States of Decay, and directing and curating ACA’s inaugural “Spit Night”, for the ACA Writers Group.
Libby is excited to continue acting and creating within the Performing Arts Industry drawing on a distinct blend of creative drive and lived experience. Having successfully pitched to New Theatre to remount ACA’s production of A Lie of the Mind in January 2026, Libby is delighted to produce and reprise the role of Michelle alongside her fellow graduates.
Libby will also be touring with Bell Shakespeare’s learning ensemble, The Players in 2026.
