Ellen hails from Moree in country NSW, spending her youth performing for her animals, singing in tractors and dancing in local town halls. In 2023, Ellen looks forward to joining the Poetry in Action company on their Australian and International tour.
Ellen attended boarding school at the ripe age of eleven, and when she turned 15, she spent time abroad in New York City to deepen her passion for her craft. Upon completing high school, she pursued a Bachelor of Education to share her love of the performing arts with students.
Throughout her training Ellen has launched into a range of roles including Anna Karenina in Anna Karenina (dir. Clara Voda), Kitty/ Mr. Collins/ Mr. Wickham/ Mrs. Gardiner in Pride & Prejudice 2.0 (dir. Adam Cook), Celia in As You Like It (dir. Rob Jago), Emma in Kidstakes (dir. Jonathan Mill), Christy in Lieutenant of Inishmore (dir. Reid McGowan), Peter Quince in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (dir. Claudia Barrie), and Dan Simmonds in The Removalists (dir. Johann Walraven).
When Ellen isn’t devoting her life to acting, she enjoys singing and writing her own music, riding her horse, dancing (to the beat of her own drum) and is thrilled to be entering the industry ready to work on both stage and screen.
