2014 Graduate

Madeleine Withington

Maddy was born and raised on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, where she initially harboured responsible dreams about becoming a teacher. After stepping into the role of “The Greedy Dragon” at age 6, she decided that nothing short of a miracle would get her off the stage again. She discovered a love of Australian theatre in high school, performing in Louis Nowra’s “Visions” as Juana.

In 2012, she was accepted into the full time course at the Actor’s Centre Australia, and has since cultivated a deep love of collaboration and creation. Her highlights of the course include the Performance History class, taught by Anthony Skuse, and playing Anna Petrovna in Chekhov’s “Ivanov”, directed by Joseph Uchitel. She looks forward to creating her own work, and pursuing her dreams: working with the RSC and one day appearing on “Game of Thrones”.
