2015 Graduate

Sophie McCrae

Originally from Tasmania, performing has always been a great joy in Sophie’s life, whether it be in local musicals, theatre or eisteddfods. Story-telling, or exploring a message through this medium, is something Sophie discovered a passion for when she played Cecily Cardew in Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest” in 2012. Some of her fondest moments at ACA include working with Dean Carey in the verbatim piece “Stories from the Heartland,” and playing Mandy in “Time Stands Still” directed by Kevin Jackson. Sophie has also successfully completed her certificate level in AMEB drama and grade six in AMEB classical singing.
