Charlene was fourteen when she realised that acting was her passion. Since then she has performed in numerous plays, films and devised works. Her theatrical debut was at the Cronulla Arts Theatre in 2008 in the play Murder in Rehearsal. She moved to Ireland in 2009, which was where she got her first professional role. FML directed by Pol Heyvaert was part of the 2009 Cork Midsummer Festival and later went on to do a European tour. The show went to various festivals around Europe such as London’s LIFT festival and toured periodically over 2 years. Apart from that she has run a youth theatre company, performed with the Cork Shakespearean Company and directed. She returned to Australia in 2012 after receiving a Diploma from LAMDA in Classical Acting. She successfully auditioned for ACA in 2013. Her ACA highlights include performing in The Government Inspector directed by George Ogilvie and Much Ado about Nothing directed by Adam Cook. She has enjoyed her time at ACA and is eager to see what the future brings.
