2020 Graduate

Will Manton

Will was born in Sydney but spent a large chunk of his childhood in America, living in New Jersey for four years. His love for drama started at a young age, being involved in all the school productions, including his first major production at 10 years old as Fleance in Macbeth. Will continued this trend through high school and was confident going into auditions for big drama schools. After not receiving an offer, he began a screen acting course at NIDA. It was there that Will realised that he has a long way to go if he wants to be a professional actor, and developed a keen work ethic and determined mindset.

From that course Will found ACA through The Next Step program and has since, with the help of his fantastic tutors: Genevieve Hegney, Julia Cotton, Anthony Skuse, Jenny West, Troy Harrison and Adam Cook to name a few, he has grown into a mature and well-rounded actor. He has featured as ‘Steve’ from The Return (dir. By Troy Harrison), Elder McKinley from The Book of Mormon (dir. by Lisa Schouw), Melchior Gabor from Spring Awakening (dir. by Sarah Carradine), Valentine from Love for Love (dir. by Anthony Skuse) and Bo from Appropriate (dir. by Frankie Savige). Will is excited to move into the industry and grow further as a performer and see what the future holds.
