MATTEO PANUCCI

Captivated at an early age by storytelling his whole high-school experience saw Matteo find great enjoyment inimprovisational theatre. Later, equipped with a desire to understand life’s complexities, Matteo embarked on a year-longexploration into a Bachelor of Bio-Medical Science at UTS (2019). Unfulfilled, Matteo decided to reconnect with his creativity by beginning his three years at ACA. After only three weeks into the program, Matteo knew he had found his calling.

During his time at ACA, Matteo has performed the following roles: Vronsky in Anna Karenina (dir. Clara Voda), Padraic in The Lieutenant of lnishmore (dir. Reid McGowan), James Jnr Jnr in Concussion (dir. Johann Walraven), Gabriel Law and Andrew Price in When the Rain Stops Falling (dir. Adam Cook), Flute and Egeus in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (dir. Claudia Barrie), Hotspur in Henry IV (dir. Lizzie Schebesta/Francesca Savige), Vaclav in Vaclav and Amelia (dir. Nicholas Bradshaw), Peter in Bug(dir. Troy Harrison), and various roles in Love and Information (dir. Alexander Berlage).

As an Italian/mixed race Australian, Matteo is excited to delve deep into sharing the stories he grew up with.
