Oliver grew up in Newcastle and lived there up until he moved to Sydney to attend Actors Centre Australia and deepen his knowledge of the craft. Prior to attending ACA, he played characters in several amateur productions such as Rodolpho in A View from the Bridge (dir. Janet Nelson) and Kane in Bed (dir. Jay Wood).
At Actors Centre Oliver has had the pleasure of performing the roles of Lewis in Cosi (dir. Troy Harrison), Dickie Pouncett in KidStakes (dir. Jonathan Mill), Levin in Anna Karenina (dir. Clara Voda), Touchstone in As You Like It (dir. Adam Cook), Ian in The Other Place (dir. Kim Hardwick), Andrew in The Treatment (dir. Estelle Halabi) and Betty/Edward in Cloud 9 (dir. Cristabel Sved). He is very much looking forward to taking the skills he has learnt in his time at drama school and further developing them in the performing arts industry.
