Waiting for Godot is an enigmatic and thought-provoking play, linked to Extension 1 Elective 2: Worlds of Upheaval—a unique opportunity for students to delve into the complexities of the human condition.
In addition to the post-show cast Q&A’s, ACA Company is excited to offer workshops for schools looking to delve deeper into the HSC texts. Our specialised workshop series empowers students for HSC success by enhancing their characterisation and physical performance skills.
Led by seasoned industry professionals, our workshops seamlessly integrate theory and practical training, ensuring students stand out as exceptional performers. Teachers can enrol students today for an opportunity to shine brightly on the HSC stage. Workshops run for two hours at Actors Centre Australia or at the chosen school.

Mark Barry as Vladimir
Mark Barray has been raised around and actively involved in theatre pretty much his whole life. After finishing high school in the Blue Mountains he moved to Sydney to pursue his dream of acting and studied at Actors Centre Australia (ACA). There, he played a number of roles including Boris in Children of the Sun and the title role in Hamlet, directed by Adam Cook. Since then he has performed in a number of productions such as Moby Dick (Sport for Jove), The Lovely Bones (New Theatre), ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore for The Company, It’s a Wonderful Life (Joining the Dots Theatre Company), and Othello for Streamed Shakespeare.
Ciarán O’Riordan as Estragon
A Sydney-born actor of Irish-Australian heritage, Ciarán O’Riordan finished full-time training at Actors Centre Australia (ACA) in 2020. A member of independent Shakespeare company Come You Spirits since 2022, Ciarán has been touring productions of Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Tempest to outdoor spaces, schools and theatres around Australia. He has also performed at KXT Broadway – Grain in the Blood, New Theatre – The Merry Wives of Windsor, Chimerica, and Chippen Street Theatre – What Have You Done, and appeared in short films Bastard and Ophelia’s Got A Gun. He has adapted and directed a pop-up production of Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales for the St Ives Medieval Faire and tours to various folk festivals as a member of the Black Joak Morris Dancers.
Arkia Ashraf as Pozzo
Arkia Ashraf is a 2020 graduate of Actors Centre Australia (ACA). Credits include: Sydney Theatre Company: A Fool In Love, The Dictionary of Lost Words. Michael Jones as Lucky
Michael Jones has always been enamoured with storytelling. His first attempts to tell stories were through drawing, sketching imagined characters and breathing life into them through the page. Then he discovered the stage. Throughout school, Michael sought out every opportunity to act. Being directed by Damien Ryan in his final school production of Cyrano de Bergerac, in which he played the title role, widened his perception of what storytelling can be and cemented his desire to act professionally. He subsequently participated in Sport for Jove’s Second Age Project, developing a taste for heightened text. Prior to studying at Actors Centre Australia (ACA), he played The Florist/Richard III in The Florist of Arden (dir. Francesca Savige), and Flavius, Casca and Lucillius in Julius Caesar (dir. Claudia Elbourne).
At ACA, Michael has designed production keyart, costumes and props and has honed his acting craft, playing Richard III in Richard III, Tuzenbach in Three Sisters, Orlo in The Great, Juror #2 in Twelve Angry Men and various characters in Toy Symphony and Haemon in Antigone.
Charlotte Edwards as Boy
Growing up in Tasmania, Charlotte Edwards found her passion for performance firstly through dance. She began tap and jazz at the age of six and fell in love with the art form. This led her to join a local theatre company at age nine where she performed a play every year until she was 16. She knew from an early age that her goal was to move to the ‘mainland’ to attend acting school and is forever grateful for her opportunities studying at Actors Centre Australia (ACA). Charlotte is passionate about acting for stage, camera, musical theatre as well as makeup artistry, modelling and photography.
While at ACA, Charlotte has had the privilege of performing the following roles: Irina in Three Sisters, Natalie in The Business, Clarence and Prince Edward in Richard III, Nola in The Boys, Elena Popova in The Bear, Juror 7 in 12 Angry Men and most recently Sentry 2, Boy Young and Chorus in Antigone.
